    Obama's plan to slow climate change earns mixed reviews in Maine

    Reactions to President Barack Obama's ambitious and sweeping climate change announcement on Aug. 3 were hot and cold among environmentalists, energy experts and members of Maine's congressional delegation. While some said that the package disproportionately benefits Maine and the other New England states where heating oil is the major source of energy, others said Obama's aggressive push toward renewable energy sources is too much, too soon.

    Pennsylvania Petroleum Association joins Eastern Energy Expo

    As previously announced, OESP and the Atlantic Region Energy Expo will be partnering for a joint trade show next year at the Foxwoods Casino Resort in Ledyard, Connecticut. The name of the event will be the Eastern Energy Expo. This will be a much larger event and draw a varied audience. Additionally, the Pennsylvania Petroleum Association joined the event.
