Details still to be ironed out with new home heating rebate program from Efficiency Maine
Kennebec Journal
Efficiency Maine has launched a new rebate program to help homeowners reduce their winter heating costs, but most residents won't be able to take advantage of some of the biggest benefits — at least for now. The top rebate provides $5,000 to buy a wood pellet or geothermal central heating system. However, the number of rebates was capped at 50, and within days after the program began last month, all were snatched up by installers who had customers lined up.

2014 Roadshows
OESP
May 12-13, at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Montville, Conn. we will host two full days of education, exploration of products and services, networking and a little bit of fun. Then we'll do it again in Sept. 22-23 in Gettysburg, Pa.

When our new website is unveiled — within the next two weeks — you'll see a fairly complete section that focuses on the Roadshows. We will even have a directory of those that have already committed to the Roadshows online. That way, for those of you who purchase other products that aren't represented, you can nudge that manufacturer or supplier to get in front of our members and guests at these shows. They are affordable, minimal time commitment and great exposure for them.

Congratulations go out to Linda Keene
OESP
With the beautiful fall weather, all types of events are happening. Many of you know Linda Keene. She works for Thermo Pride (and previously Carlin). Working with so many of our members and exhibitors, we get to know them personally and Linda periodically sends us photos of her horse, Leon. You tell me, does the horse look like a Leon or a "Barney"?

Leon recently took home 1st place in the Adult Walk Trot Pleasure Class and 2nd place for Showmanship, at an event held Sept. 8 in Westfield, Mass. Linda is obviously proud of Leon's accomplishments.
