How the HVACR industry can be heard by lawmakers
    Contracting Business

And, more importantly, how do we participate early in the standards setting process to ensure future standards are harmonized with the needs of industry and business?

US refineries boost oil use to record as prices plunge
    Bloomberg
Refiners in the U.S. used the most oil ever last week, taking advantage of crude prices tumbling to a five-year low. Plants processed 16.6 million barrels a day of crude in the week ended Dec. 5, the most in Energy Information Administration data going back to 1989. The rise occurred as futures tumbled to the lowest in more than five years after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries decided Nov. 27 to maintain output levels and as U.S. production climbed to the highest level in three decades.

Improper air-flow design will create havoc
    Supply House Times
In an effort to cut installation costs, the once-common practice of installing returns in every room has largely been abandoned. And this is done at the expense of comfort. With all that is being said about achieving higher energy efficiencies, we can't achieve it by designing better compressors or setting higher equipment standards. Instead, we must pay far more attention to airflow design.
