Park operators expect campsites to book up quickly once the final teams are selected for the Super Bowl. The Texas Association of Campground Owners has launched a new website they say "helps RV enthusiasts pinpoint campgrounds that are located near Dallas Cowboy Stadium and other popular special event venues" just in time for Super Bowl. Gasoline prices could approach $4 a gallon in parts of the U.S. this summer, but probably not for long if they do, analysts say. Patrick DeHaan, senior analyst at online price tracker, says prices may top out around Memorial Day between $3.65 and $4.05 a gallon. More

Riverside, Calif., firm to make motor homes for Chinese market

Riverside motor home maker MVP RV Inc. in California is planning to build and export 30,000 vehicles to China under an agreement with a Chinese entrepreneur that is expected to add 1,200 new jobs to the Inland Empire, an area hit hard by the recession. Under the deal with the businessman, Winston Chung, who last year became the RV firm's majority owner, the company will build $5 billion worth of the diesel-powered vehicles. More

Family Motor Coach Association, in partnership with Microwave Connection, has launched an online RV Recipe Drive to help feed the hungry. Everyone who adds an acceptable RV-friendly recipe to's Recipes for the Road, now through March 1, will be entered in a drawing to win an On-the-Road Muffin/Cupcake Set from Microwave Connection. But that's not the best part … For each recipe, FMCA will donate one non-perishable food item to a local food bank in the Cincinnati area. More
