An ordinance that would allow recreational vehicle parks within the city inched closer to reality. "My husband and I have been active campers for 36 years," said Councilwoman Nancy Long. "I think that there is a big demand for this, and that it opens it up for some businesses." The city's land development code currently does not allow RV parks but does allow for the storage of RVs in areas with heavy business, commercial and light industrial zoning. If passed on second reading, RV parks could also be permitted in these zones with a special exception. More
