2011 Porsche Parade, opens Tuesday, March 8
The day you've been waiting for is almost here! Registration for our annual convention, the 2011 Porsche Parade, opens Tuesday, March 8! This week long extravaganza (to be held July 31 to Aug. 6) of car events, tech sessions, social events and fun is not to be missed. Whether you like to autocross, rally, tour or concourse, there is plenty to do and see. This year we will be in Savannah, Ga. With its unique blend of history, elegance and charm, it's no wonder Savannah has been named a top 10 American destination city, as well as a Top 10 Culture and Sightseeing destination, a Top 10 Romance destination and a Top 25 Arts destination. It will be a perfect setting for all our events as well as a terrific vacation for the whole family. In addition to all of our regular Parade activities, we will offer numerous tours to local attractions to introduce you to the great Savannah area, as well as give a little free-time to relax and enjoy it.
The fastest and easiest way to register is online. To help you prepare for registration, we have provided handy tips, the parade schedule and the registration packet online. All this and more on the Parade website: http://parade2011.pca.org. Priority registration will continue through March 10. All registrations completed online or postmarked on March 8, 9 or 10 will receive equal priority in the unlikely event of an activity being over-subscribed. After your registration is complete you will be sent hotel reservation information. Only those with this information will be able to make reservations at our special discounted room rates. German prosecutors are broadening their inquiry into Porsche, threatening the luxury carmaker's merger with Volkswagen. State authorities said they were investigating former Porsche executives for possible market manipulation, breach of trust and credit fraud. The company officials include a former chief executive, Wendelin Wiedeking, and a former chief financial officer, Holger P. Härter, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. More
