Porsche debuts 3rd Generation Boxster
Today is a special day at PCA's Boxster Register. It is the debut of the 3rd Generation Boxster, the 981, at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show. They will have full coverage at the Boxster Register, and in addition, they have all of the hot off the press photos and videos for you to peruse and download. Plus you can meet online with other Boxster enthusiasts to discuss the new Boxster in our just added 981 Forum. And if that were not enough, they will be featuring 981 trivia in their Tech Quiz of the Week. They may even have a few giveaways for a lucky few who come up with the correct answer. Volkswagen AG has taken an important step towards fully integrating the Porsche sports-car brand with the rest of the German auto-making giant's portfolio to reap some more economies of scale - culinary and automotive. The German auto maker has started to supply its famed "VW Currywurst" sausages to Porsche Automobil Holding SE's plant in Leipzig. Volkswagen's established its own sausage-making facility in the early 1970s. Since then it has enjoyed steady growth over the years. Volkswagen's total annual sausage production today exceeds six million units. In 2011, production of the best-selling curry-flavored sausage rose by around 8 percent to 4.84 million sausages. More
Porsche to appeal court ruling over executive's duty violation
Porsche SE said it will appeal a Feb. 29 court ruling that said Ferdinand Piech violated his duties as a member of the carmaker's supervisory board during its takeover bid of Volkswagen AG in 2009. In a statement that cites Piech directly, the supervisory board member said the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court's ruling did not accurately assess the context in which he made statements to reporters at an event in 2009. An unrestored right hand drive matching numbers Porsche 911S recently unearthed in Ireland is set to be sympathetically restored by Autofarm. Crucially, the low mileage '72 specification Signal Yellow car, an early example registered in Nov 1971, retains many original features together with unique characteristics particular to just the early examples of the 911S for that model year. These include the H1 headlamp units, aluminum rear center panel and aluminum engine lid. More

World premiere of the new Boxster and 2 European premieres
At the beginning of March, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, will be presenting one world premiere and two European premieres at the Geneva Motor Show. The new generation of the Boxster will make its debut in front of an international public at the Porsche press conference on March 6 at 9:30 a.m. (MEZ) in Hall 1.
