Registration for the 2010 Parade is open
PCA    Share   Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The fastest and easiest way to register is online. To help you prepare for registration, we have a new video: Tips for Successful Parade Registration. You can also download the parade schedule and the registration packet. All this and more on the Parade Web site. Priority registration will continue through March 11. All registrations completed online or postmarked on March 9, 10 or 11 will receive equal priority in the unlikely event of an activity being over-subscribed. (Mail-in registrations postmarked before March 9 will be rejected.) This shows you all the questions you'll have to answer during the registration process in advance. After your registration is complete you will sent hotel reservation information. Only those with this information will be able to make reservations at our special discounted room rates. Registration will remain open to allow you to make changes until June 23. See you in St. Charles! More

PCA    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
PCA's raffle program is about to get even more exciting! In 2011, PCA will raffle a Porsche Classic (factory) restored early 911. Over the next year, PCA members will get to follow the restoration process before it's delivered to the lucky winner. To begin the initiative, we're looking for a 1969-1973 911 restoration candidate to purchase. Does not need to be perfect, but does need:
•  2.0 to 2.4 l motor
•  desirable would be a 2.2 TE or 2.4 TE with Multipoint Fuel Injection
•  matching numbers
•  the vehicle should be in as original condition as possible
•  if possible without major prior damages
•  the vehicle should be complete (i.e. without missing parts such as sport seats, Fuchs rims if these were installed according to Cardex)
•  including title and service records
•  wrong color or new paint is no problem
•  primarily rust free, mostly original, numbers matching chassis, transmission, and motor.
Have one in your garage? Or perhaps you know of one locally? If so, please contact Vu Nguyen at or call 703-321-2111. Our goal is to purchase one by the end of March 2010.

For the faithful fearing the dilution of a company built on a reputation for racing, fear not. Porsche is experimenting with hybrids, but it isn't looking to chase Prius market share. More
