One more for the bucket list: Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance
It was Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and I had missed my chance to enter the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance before the line into the show field grew to what looked like thousands of people. This was just the tip of the iceberg, as thousands more already had gained entrance. It was my first Amelia Island Concours, but no, I don’t regret being late to the show.
IMSA's first 911 factory racing effort in North America
The idea of “Intelligent Performance” is at the core of the Porsche brand, and has been embedded in our involvement in motorsports for decades. Even back in the first days our company, Porsche street and racing cars made intelligent use of lightweight construction to win over often significantly more powerful competitors thus earning the nickname “Giant Killers.”
The 30,000 plus racetrack victories Porsche has earned help proves the principle behind our philosophy. That is why we will always compete in motorsports out of principle. Not because of pride.
Motorsports has been and will always be a race laboratory for Porsche. It is where we are able to test our visionary technical ideas for their future use in our street-legal serial production cars. There is nothing more exciting than seeing, hearing and feeling the GT field race by to the start/finish line and we want our customers and enthusiast to have that feeling in mind when opening the door of every Porsche.
Literally spelled out in our shared worldwide livery design, Porsche Intelligent Performance embodies all we have learned in over 60 years of motorsports competition. During the inaugural 12-race TUDOR United Sports Car Championship season, fans will have many opportunities to witness firsthand our Vision, Principle and Spirit – our guiding Motorsport Values.
We hope you follow our first 911 factory racing effort here in North America. Fresh off a hard-fought GTLM class victory at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the team behind the Nos. 911 and 912 911 RSRs of Porsche North America have been hard at work preparing for the Fresh from Florida 12 Hours of Sebring. The human element of Porsche buying
By Pablo Deferrari
My wife has wanted a 968 Cabriolet since the day she saw her first one. I remember half-heartedly looking for one 10 years ago, but I didn't know a thing about these cars back then, and quite frankly I wasn't keen on learning about them. Recently, I finally bought the car my wife has been lusting for; it was a complete surprise, she knew nothing of my plans about making good on her dream — besides, this time I was much more knowledgeable about 968s. All of my prejudices have been washed away ages ago, so I was totally into the whole experience. But this article isn't about how I orchestrated the whole thing, there's more to it than that — something a bit more human.

Is the Targa the most iconic Porsche 911?
Of all the cars on sale today, perhaps none has a more iconic shape than that of the Porsche 911. And within the 911 family, some feel there’s one particular variant that’s become the most iconic of them all. Talking with Porsche’s chief of design, Michael Mauer, at Geneva, he expressed much enthusiasm for the new Targa.

With the “36 Hours of Florida” – the Rolex 24 At Daytona and this weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida – as the first two events of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, a very special challenge returns for race teams and manufacturers: turning a car prepared to race for 24 hours on the banking of Daytona International Speedway into a car able to sustain race pace over 12 hours at Sebring International Raceway.

Fresh from its Sebring Winter Test, Team Falken – which took first place at last season’s Petit Le Mans in the highly competitive GT Class of the former ALMS – is quickly ramping up for the upcoming 12 hours of Sebring in the new Tudor United SportsCar Championship, and will debut a brand new 2014 Porsche 911 RSR alongside regular stablemates Wolf Henzler and Bryan Sellers. They will be joined at Sebring by experienced Porsche factory driver Marco Holzer who hails from Germany.

Techart modified Porsche 911 Turbo S packs 620 hp, 0-62 in 2.8 seconds
Considering how many absolutely ridiculous tuner cars are featured in Geneva (stay tuned to see plenty, as our coverage continues), it's often refreshing to see some of the more modestly modified cars, like this new Porsche 911 Turbo S from the folks at Techart. Visually, there's a subtle body kit, new wheels, a new spoiler, and some lame decals on the front end, but it basically ends there. That's because Techart's mission is really about higher performance.
Porsche's $181,100 Turbo S moves with purr-to-roar ease: Review
Speak softly and carry a 560 horsepower stick. That’s the maxim of the new Porsche Turbo S. Few vehicles on Earth are as extreme as this machine, but likely not in the way you might think. Certainly it’s fast, able to place you a quarter-mile down the road in less than 11 seconds. And expensive too, starting at $181,100.
The intermediate shaft is a vital moving part in your vehicle’s engine. In event of failure, engine replacement or full rebuild is the only option. MORE
Porsche's glorious, next-gen hybrid racer
The future of racing is about more than speed. It’s about using technology to combine performance and efficiency in a winning package. Nowhere is this more important that at Le Mans, where Porsche hopes the 919 Hybrid will redefine endurance racing.

The Sports Car Guys
The Alfa Romeo 4C is quite a sports car. It is a lightweight car with a decent amount of power. But how does it compare to what is possibly the best sports car that is currently on sale?
