Drivers get a taste of track improvements at Zone 2 DE
By Dave Hogan
March has been a month of fluctuating temperatures and weather in Virginia. An unusual number of snowfalls followed by unseasonably warm temperatures has been the weather pattern so far. That pattern held true for the Zone 2 Driver Education, held March 14-16 at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Va. The event saw cool, windy temperatures Friday followed by temperatures in the 70s Saturday, then back to cool Sunday with rain in the afternoon. The changing weather conditions and variable track conditions were a challenge for the drivers.

Spring fever strikes for snowed-in Porsche owner
By Noelle Talmon
As I write this, there are flurries in Connecticut, and a blizzard warning has been issued in parts of Vermont, New Hampshire and upstate New York. Winter has shown little indication that it's losing its grip to spring in the Northeast. This means my 1976 911S will stay in the garage for a little while longer — at least until the crocuses start to peek their heads out of the winter-beaten grass. But, boy, do I have spring fever. I'm tired of the snow, freezing temperatures and suspension-destroying potholes — the vernal equinox can't come soon enough.

Video: A closer look at Porsche's 4-wheel steering system
BoldRide via Yahoo
Four-wheel steering is a concept that comes and goes in the automotive world. At one point the GMC Sierra was available with it, and it even appeared on the Honda Prelude at one point (remember when Honda made cool cars?), but Porsche is the latest to join the four-wheel steering party, as shown in two videos.

Nürburgring sold to German supplier for $140 million
Car & Driver
The venerable Nürburgring racetrack had become the subject of much ridicule. On top of the legendary Nordschleife, the grand prix circuit, and various testing facilities, the politicians of Rhineland-Palatinate had decided that it needed nothing more than an amusement park. The project failed spectacularly, and in July 2012, the 'Ring' was forced to declare bankruptcy. The search for an investor began, and is now over.

The human element of Porsche buying
By Pablo Deferrari
My wife has wanted a 968 Cabriolet since the day she saw her first one. I remember half-heartedly looking for one 10 years ago, but steered her away from 968s because I'd heard tragic stories about pinion whine, then complete failure because of some unconfirmed factory mistake with the tolerances.
