1. The human element of Porsche buying

My wife has wanted a 968 Cabriolet since the day she saw her first one. I remember half-heartedly looking for one 10 years ago, but steered her away from 968s because I'd heard tragic stories about pinion whine, then complete failure because of some unconfirmed factory mistake with the tolerances. These were excuses, I suppose, that led me to further believe that owning this car was a bad idea.

3. 911 GT3 recall update: Porsche reportedly replacing all engines
Autoweek
Porsche recalled all 785 2014 GT3s on the road last month for an unexplained problem that could cause the engine to catch fire. The company told owners to stop driving the cars immediately. Two vehicles in Europe caught fire after engine damage occurred.

5. Meet the man who discovered and restored the oldest existing Porsche

Luciano Rupolo is an absolutely fascinating gentleman. He was born in France but spent nearly his entire life in Italy as an auto mechanic running his own shop. His grandfather and father instilled a love of sports cars in him that he carried on by historic racing in Italy for decades. He saw his life-long automotive passion repaid when he found and restored the car that might have been the first Porsche registered for the road.
