Members filed into the Porsche booth at 8 AM for the club preview event for some breakfast food and presentations detailing the new Boxster and other models in the automaker's lineup. Can the new Spyder achieve maximum velocity with the top raised? Is it easier to raise and lower the top than before? What makes it different from other Boxsters, the previous-generation Spyder, and the GT4?

Team O'Neil review: Learning vehicle control off-road [w/videos]
PCA
It’s not often that I learn something totally new about driving, but that’s just what happened at Team O’Neil Rally School in New Hampshire, starting with the first class of a four-day program (which was compressed into three days). The lesson covered left-foot braking in a front-wheel-drive car, the first of many skills that provided me a deeper understanding of how grip, traction, and weight transfer can be exploited by driver input to maintain control.

Porsche confirms new GT2 RS; no turbos for future GT3
Left Lane News
A Porsche executive has confirmed plans to build a new GT2 RS and dismissed the possibility of moving to turbocharged engines for all 911s. The company's 911 product manager a year ago hinted that the future of the GT2 was in question. Speculation cited internal politics and improved performance of the latest 911 Turbo S and GT3 RS as potential roadblocks.

Video: This 1:3 scale running Porsche engine is incredible
Road & Track
A Recently, Road & Track showed you a tiny Ford Flathead V8 running tiny replica Ardun OHV heads. That was impressive, and it sounded great. Not everyone is into the tiny old-school hot rod thing, though, so this miniature replica flat-six should appeal to Porschephiles as well. According to the video description, this is an older build by a Dutch precision instrument maker. Like many of these small-scale running model engines, it's apparently entirely bespoke — Pep Boys doesn't carry 1:3 scale Porsche camshafts, now do they?

Porsche reports March 2015 sales — up 12.7 percent
Porsche
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor in the United States of Porsche 918 Spyder, 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars, Macan and Cayenne SUVs, and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up, today announced March 2015 sales of 4,291 vehicles. The strong momentum from 2014 continues with high demand for two-door sports cars, specifically the order intake for the new GT models. While Cayenne transitions to the second generation of the current platform, increased deliveries of the Porsche Macan reinforced the record March sales figures, up 12.7 percent in total compared to March of 2014.

2015 Porsche Macan Turbo is worth a dip into the savings account
Tribune News Service via Post-Bulletin
Jean Jennings writes, "Porsches should have their own separate Fun-O-Meter scale, because in the greater automotive landscape all Porsches would always rate a 10. If I was only rating Porsches, though, I'd preserve the sanctity of the Perfect 10 for the mightiest of the machines from Stuttgart, Germany — the ferocious 918 Spyder; the thrilling 911 Turbos, GT2s and GT3s; and maybe even the immensely satisfying Cayman S."
