The 2011 PCA Member Only Raffle is officially open - Grand Prize - a '73 911T plus $10,000 cash; Second Prize - $25,000 cash
Many have been waiting to enter this year's raffle to win PCA's Porsche factory restored 1973 911T. Porsche Classic is restoring a 1973 US version 911 T Coupé on behalf of the PCA under the motto "Revive the Passion". The idea for this unusual project sprang from a conversation between PCA, Porsche Club Coordination and Porsche Classic representatives at Porsche's "Rennsport Reunion III" in 2007. The Porsche Club of America traditionally raffles off Porsche vehicles among its members twice a year. The raffled vehicles have always been new vehicles. However, this time a classic Porsche will be raffled off. Follow the restoration process at www.pca.org

Porsche Classic restores automotive dreams
Times Colonist Share
It's an inauspicious building in an equally inauspicious industrial mall on the outskirts of Stuttgart, right next to a children's daycare center. There are no external signs of what goes on in the building, except for the fact there seems to be an inordinate number of Porsches of varying vintage parked outside. Look a little closer. Isn't that a 959 painted a particularly garish hue being hosed down? And, over there, that's a lovely little 356 being loaded on to a transporter. More

Parade 2011 - Golf and other fun things
New registrations for this year's Parade in Savannah, Ga., continue to pour in! Why do you ask? Perhaps it is because this is the best Porsche vacation of the year! Consider all the activities that are available. For example, you can join in the friendly competition by playing in the golf tournament at the Club at Savannah Harbor, and play the same course as the yearly PGA Tour Champions Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Tournament (which was just held again a couple of weeks ago). For $125 fee you get practice on the range, green fees, lunch, a moisture-wicking golf shirt, divot tool and souvenir bag tag. There will be trophies and door prizes as well. If you need to rent clubs, they are available for $50. Since we all know it will be a tad warm in Savannah, the shotgun start will be at 8:00 am and there will be plenty of water available during play! In addition to the golf tournament we will have our traditional Ice Cream Social, the Wine Tasting and Beer Tasting Parties (where we beat the heat with some tasty local brews), and don't miss the southern hospitality at a plantation tour! All this, the 4 competitive events (Tech Quiz, Autocross, Concours & Rally) and more! Don't forget the many driving tours, which include new dates to meet the popular demand. Come join us for a great time! See http://parade2011.pca.org for more information and to register. See you in Savannah!
