In praise of the Boxster
By Joseph Cavalcante
I spent Sunday nights a few Februarys ago watching "Californication," which stars a dysfunctional writer wandering Hollywood in an older Carrera Cabrio. Porsche lust struck. A dealer said he could find me one, but maybe I'd like to drive this black Boxster convertible right over here. Left-handed ignition! Wow, that throaty exhaust note. The clutch forced my foot right up off the floor, and I overdrove the first curve because it steers that tightly. Mine. While one of Porsche's six models garners most of the attention, there are compelling reasons to spread some love across the lineup. I choose to praise the Boxster.

The making of Jeff Zwart's '917 x 12' artwork
PCA
Photographer, commercial director, and fine artist Jeff Zwart is a known Porsche fanatic (and PCA member), and occasionally he'll embark on special projects outside his regular business. Such projects have resulted in numerous artistic endeavors, such as his column in Porsche Panorama, "zwART," and books such as "Porsche Rennsport" and "917 x 17," his most recent release. And from his latest book about Porsche's famous 917 race cars, the idea for the "917 x 12" artwork was born.

A journey through time in a new 911
The Globe and Mail
Hitting the autobahn in a new Porsche 911 S is a bucket list experience. And now I was ticking the box. As the Porsche's speedometer clicked through 245 km/h, I turned off the stereo to focus on the symphonic howl of the motor — a soundtrack freighted with history and speed. Accelerating through a long curve, I was seeing something similar to what my father had encountered almost 60 years ago when he test-drove a Porsche on the autobahn: the world beyond the windshield as a high-speed blur of grey and green, set against a pair of curved fenders.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo review
Auto 123
The Porsche 911 Turbo. Say it again. Has a certain ring to it, no? Of course it does. This car is by far one of the most iconic performance cars in the history of the performance car. Porsche remains one the most winning car manufacturers and from that racing experience comes great road cars. The Porsche 911 reaches back just over 50 years and in that time has impacted the car world with blistering performance despite its counter-intuitive powertrain layout. The level of engineering that has gone into every 911 in the last half-century set new standards every time.

Porsche 919 Hybrid to make US debut at Ault Park Concours d'Elegance
AutoWeek
For a brand-new racing prototype, the new Porsche 919 Hybrid hasn't performed too shabbily — it took third place at the 6 Hours of Silverstone and fourth place at the World Endurance Championship race in Spa earlier this year. And though American fans were denied the chance to see the LMP1 car race at Sebring, you'll still have an opportunity to see the car in person before it takes on the competition at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
