Porsche is main sponsor of the Hesse House in Tübingen
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is the main sponsor of the new Hesse House in Tübingen. The sports car manufacturer took the "60 years of Baden-Württemberg" anniversary as an opportunity to support the setting up of a literature museum in honor of Hermann Hesse with a total of 100,000 euro. In so doing, Porsche would like to help showcase the poet's formative early years in the virtually unchanged original rooms, where he worked. More

Winery pals head to Le Mans to go racing
The Racers Group Share
Noted California winery owners Kevin Buckler and Fred Schrader have much in common. One is a passion for great wines and producing award-winning vintages. Still another, and perhaps less known in vintner circles, is their penchant and enthusiasm for fast cars. The latter takes them to Southern France the middle of June, not to visit the iconic vineyards of the Old World, but to race at the world's most famous road racing facility - Le Mans, France. More
For first time since win, Falken Tire Porsche returns to Mid Ohio
Falken Tire Share
Nearly four weeks have passed since the last American Le Mans Series race event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and Team Falken Tire has been pushing forward with little time for rest. Last month, the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR completed a two day test at Road Atlanta, dedicating the time to overall balance and tire development. The blue and teal race car brought the team to Mid-Ohio, where last August, drivers Wolf Henzler and Bryan Sellers hard charged through torrential downpour to earn the team its first win. More

Porsche claims podium spot at 2012 LeMans 24Hr
9 Magazine Share
Less than four minutes were missing for Porsche to clinch its 99th class win at the Le Mans 24 Hours. With the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR fielded by the IMSA Performance Matmut team, Frenchman Nicolas Armindo, Raymond Narac and Anthony Pons had led the field just a few laps before the flag dropped on the 80th running of the long distance classic in the Sarthe. But in the final minutes, tire damage robbed the 2011-spec 911 of all hopes for victory. Nevertheless, the joy over second place was huge for the French Porsche customer team. More
Reinventing the Porsche wheel
The Globe and Mail Share
The key sports cars of Porsche have recently been reinvented and critics are hard to find. The mid-engined roadster, the 2013 Boxster ($56,500 base), is the most basic of Porsches, though it's hardly a bare-bones two-seater. Meanwhile, the 2012 911 Carrera ($93,700 base) is bigger, more powerful and more fuel efficient than its predecessor and the updates have paid off, with global sales up nearly 40 percent. More
What's in a name
American Le Mans Series Share
As one would expect from a course made up of public roads, the corners of Le Mans are not known by numbers but rather by romantic names. Some names are French, some English, but they all conjure images of danger, heroism and speed. Diehard race fans can name each corner of the 8.469-mile Circuit de La Sarthe by heart, but do you know where those famous names came from? A chat with Hervé Guyomard, circuit director at Le Mans for from 1971 to 2006, revealed the history behind the Circuit's most famous corners. More
