The learning curve of Porsche racing: Descending the slippery slope
By Joe Lapin
As my first season of Driver Education came to a close, I reflected on the incredible journey of learning I had enjoyed at the Rennsport DE events. At my advanced age of 66, developing a consuming passion is not an easy task. Many of my peers are overwhelmed with negative thought patterns of declining health, financial insecurity, marital issues, angst about their children, among many other sad topics. To the uninitiated, the experience of driving on a racetrack is an abstract fantasy, but for those fortunate enough to participate in DE events, their lives change irrevocably. To learn is to grow.

Audi, Toyota say Porsche's early test not a concern
Autosport
Audi and Toyota are unconcerned by Porsche's early test debut with its 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours contender. The Porsche petrol-powered LMP1 hybrid became the first car built to the new-for-2014 rulebook to run when it hit the track at the start of last month, which is likely to give it a head-start of a minimum of four months over its manufacturer rivals for next year's World Endurance Championship.

Autocar drives the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3: Video
The Sports Car Guys
The new 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 (991) looks like it may be the best GT3 that the company has ever made. That is saying a lot as the 911 is the measuring stick that other sports cars are measured by and the GT3 is the best normally aspirated model that you can buy. This car to most is the driver's Porsche and is for many the best overall car that you can buy at any price range.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder

You might think that the Porsche 918 Spyder shouldn't be a hybrid; that the car's electric motors and batteries add weight, unnecessarily complicate its powertrain, and corrupt its mechanical purity; that the very point of a car like this is to be anything but green.
