Twin Speedsters reunite at Parade 2014
PCA
Amongst the 207 concours entries and 47 historic Porsches on display at the Porsche Parade Concours d'Elegance, there were two that caught our attention as much for their looks as the story they share. The "twin" 1954 356 Speedsters (#80013 and #80014) have much in common, such as their looks and Speedster-specific oddities, but until June 16, they hadn't been together since they shared a showroom at Max Hoffman's New York dealership in 1954. Watch the video below for the story on these special Porsches as told by their owners, Vince Bobba (#80014) and Bruce Ungari (#80013).

911 Targa: Safe and beautiful
Porsche
When Porsche designed the 911, no one doubted in the least that there should also be an open version of the 356 successor. After all, at the time of the development of the 911, the share of turnover generated by the convertible was around 17 percent. However, there were signs at the time that convertibles without rollover protection bars would no longer be approved in the U.S. market that was so important to Porsche.

Porsche
Porsche AG in Zuffenhausen again set records last year with 162,145 delivered sports cars and yet another record turnover. And for years now, the growth in staff has been also record-breaking: while at the onset of 2010, there were around 12,700 employees working at Porsche Group, now there are over 21,000. Over 18,000 of them are working in Germany. The sports car-maker has initiated a variety of measures to master the huge challenges this growth brings about for the organization and infrastructure.

Then and now: Examining Porsche through the years
By Skip Kuhn
Last month, my good friend and I repeated our yearly tradition of screening the film "Le Mans." This year was fortuitous as we actually got to screen the film on the weekend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Now other than being the pantheon of sports car and racing films, "Le Mans" was also the film that triggered my now 40-plus-year obsession with endurance sports car racing and all things Porsche prototype. As middle-aged men tend to do, we also took advantage of our screening as yet another opportunity for a then vs. now discussion of cars, racing, films, esthetics and a variety of other topics.

Porsche 911's most memorable Hollywood moments
The Hollywood Reporter
The Porsche 911, one of Hollywood's enduring status rides, turns 50 this year. Besides occupying the garages of industry gearheads from Jay Leno to Jerry Seinfeld, the 911 has turned up in a host of movies — such as the one glimpsed in Jordan Belfort's garage in The “Wolf of Wall Street” — sometimes as a featured player with more charisma than the principals.

A day in the new Porsche Macan, an SUV that wants to race
Ars Technica
At the upscale Langham Huntington Hotel, Porsche executives welcomed a small group of journalists to get some drive time with the new Porsche Macan. Outside the hotel, about a dozen Macans were parked around a bubbling fountain. After a quick product briefing, the journalists split into pairs and grabbed a car to go out on the open road.

Video: Porsche 911 Turbo vs. 918 Spyder
The Sports Car Guys
The Porsche 911 Turbo is an insanely fast car. When you launch from a standing start it will push you so far back in your seat that you will go back to last Tuesday. Porsche also makes the 918 Spyder, a car that costs just a bit less than $1 million and can make a lap of the Nurburgring in just 6:57. But which of these two is fastest in a straight line? Top Gear wanted to find out so they setup a drag race. Will the technological wonder that is the 918 win out or will the time-tested turbocharged flat-six manage to keep the V-8 at bay?

Porsche offering short-term Boxster, Cayman leases to Macan waitlisters
Autoblog
Walk into a Porsche dealer today, place an order for a Macan and you'll be looking at a waiting period of six months or more before you can expect delivery. That may be common enough for high-end European automakers, but the Macan is meant to lure new buyers to the brand, and the waitlist could be enough to deter them from sticking around. The solution? Offer to lease them a Boxster or Cayman until their new Macan arrives.

Porsche highlights at 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed

These days, wherever Porsche goes, people are asking about one car only, the 918 Spyder.
