At Monterey's West Coast Summer Concours (formerly known as the Monterey Historic's) PCA members will again have the opportunity to participate in or attend a cooperative concours event hosted by the Porsche Club of America, BMW CCA, and the Mercedes Benz Club of America. The event will take place on Aug. 19, 2011 at Rancho Canada as part of the All German marque celebration known as Legends of the Autobahn.

In the inaugural event, all three car clubs worked well together to display a dazzling variety of special automobiles from Germany. Based on last year's success, plans are underway for an even larger showing and celebration this year. All PCA members are welcome….and….whether you’d like to compete in the concours, display your car or just enjoy beautiful cars and camaraderie, please make plans to attend. Bloomberg    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Porsche AG may develop a supercar positioned higher than the 911 GT2 RS to broaden its line-up and sustain growth as orders cool from record deliveries last year. The car could be combined with additional variants of the Cayman and Boxster as well as extended-wheelbase and convertible versions of the Panamera four-door coupe, Bernhard Maier, Porsche's sales chief, said in an interview. It would aim to fill the gap between the €237,600 ($338,500) GT2 RS, the top end of the 911 line, and the €768,000 918 Spyder hybrid. More

Green machines get turbo boost from Porsche hybrid
The Province    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Nürburgring, nicknamed the Green Hell by Sir Jackie Stewart because of its forested setting, holds an annual 24-hour race that's just a little different.
