Win a set of Michelin tires, attend the 2015 24 Hour of Le Mans — It's as easy as registering for the 2014 Werks Reunion
PCA
Yes you read that right. Michelin, the presenting sponsor of the 2014 Werks Reunion, is providing substantial prizes for Werks Reunion attendees. The first official raffle items will be a set of Michelin street tires (1st), Michelin jacket (2nd), and set of Michelin tire covers (3rd). To enter for a chance to win one of these three items, simply register your Porsche in the concours or corral by July 25.

In addition, all registered Werks Reunion concours and corral entrants will be automatically entered for a trip (airfare/lodging) for two adults to the 2015 24 Hour of Le Mans.

All winners must be present August 15 with their Porsche on display in the concours or corral to claim their prize. Prize restrictions may apply.

We have even more prize announcements to come. Keep in mind that less than 200 registration spots remain. Don't delay. See you in Monterey!

An unknown artist and his Porsche speakeasy
By Pablo Deferrari
I suppose I have to let you in on this secret I've been keeping: James Bielen is an old-school craftsman when it comes to Porsches. He is a dying breed, and you can see why he's coveted by his clientele. He's like an artist, preferring to work alone. He's too much of a perfectionist with incredible attention to detail to trust anyone else with his exclusive work. Volume isn't his game, and that's why he's word of mouth. His industrial "atelier" was a former speakeasy during the prohibition era. No sign outside, no street number — it's not even visible from the street.

Porsche names new motorsport chief
Autoblog
Though it may have expanded into crossovers and sedans, Porsche is still a company with racing at its heart. You might even argue that Cayenne and Panamera sales only serve to fund the company's motorsports activities. Competition-spec 911 coupes still make up a large portion of the grid in any GT racing series, and those activities are presided over by the Porsche GT division (separate from its LMP1 program), which has just announced a changing of the guard.

Autoweek, Porsche release 'The Essential Sports Car' app
PCA
It wasn't that long ago when finding old magazine road tests of your favorite Porsches online was a chore, requiring just the right combination of search terms for Google to display what you were looking for. These articles were few and far between — and oftentimes illegally scanned and posted online — until the magazines caught on and started publishing archived road tests to their own websites. Now Autoweek and Porsche have taken it a step further.

Meet Porsche's 1978 911 rally car
Top Gear
The Porsche 911 is, we're told, the most successful racing car in the history of this and many other galaxies. And here we have one which wasn't that successful, the 911 SC "Safari." Well, comparatively, anyway. It was a purpose-built rally car from Porsche, put together with the aim of winning the 1978 East African Safari Rally. And this is a tough, tough race, which pitted desert, insane heat and the occasional passing elephant.

Sharapova film: Behind the scenes
Porsche
State of emergency in the underground car park of the Park Hyatt Hotel in Paris. Blinding light from a spotlight illuminates a white Porsche Macan. A camera is set up next to it, while the ground is covered with cables and a ten-man team hustles and bustles about. Everything is ready for the star of the day. Maria Sharapova strides into the room.

Porsche Cayman GTS in track battle with 996 GT3
Autoblog
Here's your tough question of the day: Would you rather drive a new Porsche Cayman GTS or a slightly older, 996-era Porsche 911 GT3? Certainly, both cars have their plusses. The Cayman is the more modern proposition, sure, but the GT3 is, well, a GT3. So yes, it's a tough decision. If you're one of the lucky souls that have to make that choice, then this video from Evo should prove pretty helpful.

Porsche Parade 2014 was a spectacular success
PCA
Porsche Parade 2014, held in the picturesque, seaside city of Monterey, CA, was a spectacular success. Over one thousand PCA members attended the event and filled the streets with an eyebrow-raising number of Porsches as they headed to activities. To capture the spirit of Porsche Parade, PCA National asked members to post photos of the event to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #PCAPorscheParade2014, with a chance to win a Bose SoundLink Mini. (Members who didn't attend Parade were also given a chance to win.) Members responded with some great shots of Parade, though nine members took photos that were a notch above the rest.

Here are the contest winners:

Monique Straub – San Diego Region

Daniel G. Cole – Absaroka Region

Corey Garnett – Los Angeles Region

Joe Lombardi – Monterey Bay Region

Michael Comet – Golden Gate Region

Marie Nakazawa – Golden Gate Region

Jordan Clifford – Silver Sage Region

John Straub – San Diego Region

Tim Kornacki – Pacific Northwest Region

Special "thank you" to Bose for their support of PCA and the 2014 Porsche Parade.
