What am I going to do at the 2013 Porsche Parade in Traverse City, Mich., for a whole week?
Exotic Car Resource
Louis Capolino writes, "When our friends Don and Lorraine Franco invited us to join them on a trip to Porsche Parade this year, the question above was my first response. A 3500 mile round trip would take us to the Grand Traverse resort in June for a week-long celebration of everything Porsche. I remember saying to my wife, 'This better be worth the time and money.'"

2014 rule changes to the Porsche Club of America Competition Rules (PCRs)
PCA
With the Parade still fresh in our minds and our regions/zone series more than halfway through the year, we have all had a chance to use and reflect upon the classing structures and rules. The PCR Committee is looking for input to the 2014 Porsche Club of America Competition Rules (PCRs). Please forward all suggestions for rules changes and/or thoughts using the email or regular mailing address as listed below. Please include the rule number and any suggested changes and/or wording.

Your ideas must be received in writing to Mike Lommatzsch prior to Sept. 15. The annual PCR Committee meeting is scheduled for the first of October. At that meeting, we will discuss all input received from the membership and develop a list of rules changes for 2014. That list will be published on the PCA website prior to Nov. 1. The comment period on those rules changes will then be open until Dec. 1. After that, the PCR Committee will finalize the rules for 2014.

Please forward your thoughts or suggestions to Mike Lommatzsch at mpl@ix.netcom.com or 14655 Bronson Avenue, San Jose, CA 95124.

The 5 best movie car chase scenes of all time
Boldride via Yahoo Autos
Let's face it, most Hollywood car chases are hackneyed. There's the classic "frenzied extras scurry out of the way of cars pulled on wires crashing through glass storefronts" shot. Or the standard "this car will barrel through a strategically placed barrier — one that would stop a tank — and emerge unscathed and drivable" take. Yet the best chase scenarios captured on celluloid have something to make them stand out: superb driving.
