Porsche reports August sales

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars, Cayenne SUVs and the Panamera four-door sports sedan line-up in the United States, announced August 2012 sales of 3,026 vehicles. This compares to 2,184 vehicles sold last August, for an increase of 39 percent. For the year, Porsche has sold 22,279 cars in the U.S., a nine percent increase over last year's sales of 20,494. More

Porsche ups initial production forecast on Macan

According to a recent report from Reuters, German carmaker Porsche expects production of its new Macan compact sports utility vehicle to reach 75,000 by the end of 2013. Porsche's procurement chief Uwe-Karsten Staedter is said to have informed suppliers that production at its Leipzig factory will be ramped up from an initially forecast 45,000 vehicles to 75,000 by the end of next year, German weekly WirtschaftsWoche said, without citing sources. Porsche leads GRAND-AM Monterey Sports Car Festival with all 3 911 GT3 Cup cars
All three of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars entered in the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival led the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race for extended periods. The German marque, the most successful manufacturer in sports car racing history, led a combined 30 of 106 possible laps in the two-hour, 45-minute race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. More
