918 Spyder: The future of Porsche
By David Hurth
At the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show, the Porsche 918 Spyder stole the show. You may be thinking, didn’t that car debut three years ago? Yes, it did, but this year’s show unveiled the final production version to the public. The 918 Spyder is an important car for the future of Porsche. The supercar is able to put out up to 887 horsepower, and yet it is being reported that it will get between 84 and 95 mpg. All of this is thanks to the mating of a powerful V8 engine along with electric motors that can give a performance boost or be used to save gasoline, depending on the driving mode.

Porsche Classics at the Castle 2013
Sports Car Digest
The Classics at the Castle Porsche Concours 2013 was held on Sunday, Sept. 8, on the grounds of Castle Hedingham in Essex County, U.K. Once again the Castle provided the quintessential English backdrop for the event. Built around 1140 AD, the four-story Norman building stands over 110 feet tall and is anchored by its 12 foot thick walls. From the upper windows of the castle, those in attendance got a birds-eye view of this spectacular event and the surrounding English countryside.

Green Porsche Spyder uses less fuel than Panda
The Telegraph
It has a £657,400 price tag, can reach 62 mph in 3.2 seconds — and is the talk of the Frankfurt motor show. But perhaps the most surprising feature of the Porsche 918 Spyder is the fact that one of the most high-performance vehicles ever likely to be seen on the road claims fuel consumption of 78 miles per gallon with carbon emissions that are lower than the average small family car.

An '80s rock star and her classic 911
By Pablo Deferrari
She's walking out of the liquor store laden down with her handbag on one hand and a case of Pabst in the other. A couple of good ol' boys leaning up against a pickup truck nearby watch her. As she puts the case down to open the door on her 993, she looks up and notices them gawking at her. They make eye contact and then one of the guys bobs his head up and down with a smile and gives her a thumbs-up. This is just another ordinary day.
