A bright yellow 968 Turbo stopped us dead in our tracks while we were mingling in the parking lots at the 2010 PCA Escape. If the paint and body work doesn't take your breath away, wait 'till you see what's under the hood. Erik Dumas shares the details of this very special Porsche. Video here
Porsche SE targets profitability in 2011
Heavily indebted Porsche SE forecast it would break even in the current rump business year ending in December before returning to a profit in 2011 as auto markets continue to recover, it said. The exchange-listed holding vehicle drove headlong into its second straight annual loss after heavy markdowns on the value of its Volkswagen stake offset profits from its healthy sports car business. 2011 Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year: Porsche Cayenne
We realize this looks bad. A bunch of unabashed car-loving adrenaline junkies invite a high-clearance sports car to an SUV contest and go all wobbly-kneed with excitement, crowning it champ. We can hear the hate mail composing itself from here: "That high-falutin' Porsh is an even stupider pick than last year's Scooby-doo station wagon! Cancel my subscription! (Again!)" We beg your indulgence as we build our case around the six key criteria. More

For the purpose of this test, price was not an issue and they tested the £200,000 Noble M600 in the same way that they did the £23,000 Renaultsport Megane. And they picked the GT3 RS because it was "the most involving, enjoyable and satisfying of all the sports cars." More

A Porsche named Sting enters a Robotics Rodeo
Porsche Purist Share
Back in 2007, the freakishly smart engineers at the Georgia Tech Robotics Institute (GTRI) developed Sting (a completely autonomous Porsche Cayenne) to compete in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. As if that weren't complicated enough, this year they upgraded Sting with a new radio that allows it to communicate with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) outfitted with similar equipment. Why would a robotic Porsche need to talk to robotic planes? To locate a target of course. Huh? More
