Win a set of Toyo Tires and $450 — PCA High Performance Drivers Education Logo Contest
PCA
The PCA HPDE Program is designed so that participants can improve their driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of vehicle dynamics and driving safety. It's certainly one of the most popular program in the Club.

With Toyo Tires sponsorship, PCA is looking to its members and their creativity to help develop an official logo for the PCA High Performance Drivers Education program. A HPDE Instructor logo currently exists, but we're looking for a new logo to represent the program. If your design is selected, you'll win a set of Toyo tires and $450 in cash!
Contest details here.

In search of the 'Hollywood' 968
By Jeff Coe
Recently, I was perusing an issue of Christophorus that featured an article about Porsches used in various films. I smiled as I read the article and remembered watching "Risky Business" back in 1983 and falling in love with that beautiful 928 — even though it fell into a lake. The article got me thinking. Whenever a production car has its run of being new, it often draws the attention of Hollywood, which is looking to feature the latest offerings of the automotive world. But as I scanned the article, I noticed that they missed my favorite Porsche — the 968.

Porsche enthusiasts should flock to museum exhibit in North Carolina
By Kevin Gabbard
The North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, N.C., began hosting its first design exhibit on Oct. 12. The exhibit, "Porsche by Design: Seducing Speed," takes a look at the development and history of the Porsche, allowing visitors to see the evolution of company from the 1930s all the way up to today. The exhibit emulates the aesthetic design that has made Porsche famous. Visitors get a chance to see Porsches owned by actor Steve McQueen, musician Janis Joplin, an automobile designed by Ferdinand Porsche, several race cars and even a one-of-a-kind prototype.

Formula Austin's 2nd Annual "Best of Texas" concert — Nov. 15
PCA
PCA member and former Yellowstone Region secretary, Anne Fish and her cousin, Ferrari Club of America member (but it is OK, he used to autocross Porsches as a young man), Andy Fish of Austin, Texas started Formula Austin, LLC in 2010. Then, as Anne says, "We brought on the strongest member of the team, Mark Bell," a GM guy (who drives a Cadillac!) to create what was deemed "One of the Top 10 events during the Inaugural year of Formula 1 in Austin" by Culture Map Austin. From the sounds of things, it looks like they are in line to hit the "Top 5" in 2013!
