1. PCA celebrates 60th anniversary with limited-edition Chopard chronograph
Porsche Club of America has grown to great heights since its humble origins in 1955, and so it has joined with Chopard to celebrate its 60th anniversary next year with a run of 66 limited-edition PCA Mille Miglia watches for club members.

Sixty of the 42-millimeter automatic chronographs are made in stainless steel, and six in 18-karat rose gold. The limited PCA watch is identified as such by its blue face with white and red accents, the blue "tire tread" straps, and, of course, the club logo printed on the sapphire crystal back in full color alongside the edition number.

2. Porsche 913 concept previews the Ferrari Fighter we've been waiting for
Yahoo Autos
Now that the 918 is all said and done, Porsche has its sights set directly on McLaren and Ferrari. If you think about it, between the 911 and 918, there's really nothing that competes directly with the 458 and McLaren 650S. At least, not yet. Word on the street is Porsche is working on that very vehicle. Unfortunately, we have no idea when said Ferrari-fighter will be here or what it will look like. But thanks to the power of Photoshop — and graphic designer Rene Garcia — this edgy Porsche 913 concept might be as close to the real thing as it gets.

3. The 4-cylinder turbo Porsche Cayman cometh
Road & Track
A few months ago, Porsche unleashed a very strange beast at the Nurburgring. It was a current-gen 911 with what was almost certainly a turbocharged flat-4. It's an engine we long suspected was coming from a company facing ever-stricter emissions and fuel economy standards, but Wolfgang Hatz — the Volkswagen Group's engine and transmission boss — confirmed it wouldn't be offered in the 911. The mid-engined Boxster and Cayman twins were the most likely to get the motor; Hatz didn't like the idea of a boxer-4 in the 991 chassis. Fast forward to early August, and we got our first idea of what a 981 Boxster powered by a flat four might sound like.

4. Register for Fall 2014 Member Only Raffle
Porsche Club of America's Fall 2014 Member Only Raffle has begun, and there's excellent reason to purchase at least one $50 ticket: a chance to win a Boxster or Cayman GTS plus $25,000 cash. Click here to register.

Porsche's mid-engined sports cars are the most recent models to receive GTS badging, earned through higher levels of performance than their S counterparts. A 15-horsepower bump for both cars endows the Boxster GTS with 330 hp and the Cayman GTS with 340, while Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Sport Chrono package, which includes goodies such as dynamic transmission mounts, Sport Plus mode, and launch control, are standard. The sport exhaust system is also standard, and the GTS models maintain the option for a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed PDK automatic.
