Porsche announces Macan compact SUV
Gizmag
At first, the idea of Porsche making a compact SUV seems like Heston Blumenthal opening a rib joint. Notwithstanding, Porsche's recipe for mixing a sports car with a small 4x4 were revealed on Nov. 19, when the company presented the new Macan SUV line to the world at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Macan, a name derived from the Indonesian word for tiger, isn't the first SUV that Porsche has made, but it's the first compact model, and it does look as if the automaker has grabbed an Indonesian tiger by the tail.

Porsche weighs further investments in plug-in models
The Wall Street Journal
Porsche AG Chief Executive Matthias Müller said the sports-car and luxury sport-utility vehicle maker is weighing whether to offer more models with plug-in hybrid technology. Porsche and executives of its parent, Volkswagen AG, believe that plug-in hybrid technology — which combines battery power with a gasoline engine — is a better answer to the needs of premium vehicle buyers than all-electric vehicles, Mr. Müller said in an interview on the sidelines of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Porsche 911 Carerra 4S: Car review
The Guardian
This Porsche is the new 911 Carrera 4S. It's the largest sports car the German masterbuilder has ever created. There's never a day when you wouldn't want to find yourself driving a car like this, but this week it feels particularly apt as the 911 has just celebrated its 50th birthday. To mark the occasion, Porsche has created a commemorative model.

Will Delta surprise you with a Porsche for your trip between gates on your next connecting flight? The airline just might if you're a "Diamond" level frequent-flier in the airline's loyalty program. And, now, the carrier is expanding the program it first began in 2011 to more of its key airports.

24 cars with the highest resale values
Yahoo
After their homes and perhaps putting their kids through college, an automobile is typically the next largest financial outlay a family makes. To help wring the most value out their vehicular investments, it’s prudent to choose a model that will bring a higher resale value (in the industry this is called residual value) down the road. Generally, the more expensive the vehicle, the more important even relatively minor differences in projected resale values will become, simply because there’s more money at stake.

Ever since the Porsche 918 Spyder debuted as a might-never-be concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, we knew it was quick. But we didn't know just how quick. 2014 Porsche Cayman S review notes
Autoweek
There might not be a more appealing new sports car today that starts below the $75 thousand mark than the Porsche Cayman S. It begins with the midship engine layout, which is exactly where the engine should be in a proper sports car. Each and every time you get out of a Boxster or Cayman, you can't help but be impressed by how delightful it is to throw the car around.
