1. Porsche announces Macan compact SUV
Gizmag
At first, the idea of Porsche making a compact SUV seems like Heston Blumenthal opening a rib joint. Notwithstanding, Porsche's recipe for mixing a sports car with a small 4x4 were revealed on Nov. 19, when the company presented the new Macan SUV line to the world at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Macan, a name derived from the Indonesian word for tiger, isn't the first SUV that Porsche has made, but it's the first compact model, and it does look as if the automaker has grabbed an Indonesian tiger by the tail.

3. What's in my garage? A whole lot more
By Mike Petrilla
A recent E-Brake inquiry from PCA asked what was in the garage or driveway. Respondents were invited to click on one of Porsche's enduring or more recent models. I made the appropriate click, 911 ('74-'89), and found myself among approximately 1,500 others. That is not where I am. When it comes to Porsche ownership, I am in a class of one. I would guess that the same goes for other Porsche owners. For myself, I offer the following "clicks" regarding the occupant of my garage.

4. The everyman Porsche: Cayenne
By David Mathews
Ten days and 748 miles ago, I bought a brand-new 2014 Porsche Cayenne. This one is third in our Cayenne continuum, an SUV lineage that is pure Porsche, save two ill-conceived and misbegotten vehicles that I immediately shed. This Cayenne is diesel-powered. It provides an appealing, yet quirky practicality. I am liking it more with each passing mile and with each passing service station. To date, my mileage is 30.8 mpg. My infatuation is about more than fuel economy, however.

5. Porsche 911 997 GT3: The last of a breed
CNET
Swapping gears yourself is a badge of pride for most. It's a little bit of extra freedom that shows that not only you can drive, but you're capable of deciding how fast your engine should be running. It's something that not everyone can do — in the U.K., if you pass your test in an automatic car you're not legally allowed to drive stick — and those who can tend to be proud of the fact.
