RVDA's DSI survey underway RVDA Share
Many manufacturers tell RVDA they use results from the association's Dealer Satisfaction Index survey to adjust policies and procedures that affect dealers, so it's vital that all dealer members participate. Results from the survey will be presented at brand committee meetings during the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas, scheduled for Oct. 3-7. An improving economy, higher gas prices, and Michigan's new Recreation Passport option for motorists may lead to a big year for camping. Reservations at private and state campgrounds are up as much as 18.5 percent, The Detroit News recently reported. "When gas prices get higher, we know campgrounds become an increasingly popular destination," says Nancy Cain, spokeswoman for AAA Michigan. The shocking pink RV is officially called the Gloria Gemma Mobile Resource and Wellness Center, but it has been outfitted to feel more like a living room than an institutional vehicle. Maureen A. DiPiero, community outreach coordinator for the foundation that operates the RV, has been taking it to colleges, high schools, community centers and hospitals.
