Drew Industries posts higher 2Q income on RV sales

Drew Industries Inc., which makes components for RVs and manufactured homes, said its net income more than tripled in the second quarter due to improving RV sales. The company said sales in its RV segment rose 83 percent during the quarter, citing market share gains and new product introductions. More

RV travel sees no recession in Idaho

Kampgrounds of America said camper registrations climbed 7 percent between May 1 and July 15 compared with the same period last year. And reservations at Idaho state parks are up 15 percent this fiscal year over the previous year, according to the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. More

As a way to save his company and clients money, Jan Jennings, interim chief executive officer of Ohio Valley Health Services and Education Corp., lives in an RV at the trailer park in Bridgeport, OH. This isn't your average RV. The large vehicle, nicknamed Shamu, is worth about $200,000, Jennings said. It contains solid wood cabinetry, tiled floors, a kitchen with stove, sink, microwave and small table, a full shower and separate bathroom, a living area with two leather couches that fold out into beds, and a bedroom in the rear with a full-sized bed and entertainment system. More
