How to make solar even more sustainable
GreenBiz.com    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Sure, solar power is greener than electricity from fossil fuel, but that doesn't guarantee that all solar panels are made sustainably. For corporations buying or investing in solar panels for their environmental benefits, it makes sense to keep track of the sustainability leaders — and to be wary of the potential risks of associating with manufacturers with less sustainable practices. Case study: Tank museum making tracks for solar power
Solar Novus Today    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Work has recently been completed on a solar installation at The Tank Museum in Dorset, U.K., making it the U.K.'s first independently-financed renewable energy project on a Ministry of Defence building. The installation is made up of 216 solar photovoltaic panels, mounted on the roof of the British Steel Hall, which is one of the major exhibition halls at the museum. In total, the system generates around 50,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, roughly equivalent to the amount of electricity consumed by 20 average U.K. households. More

SECUSOL - the first solar thermal appliances

SECUSOL
is a solar thermal hybrid system. The storage tank, with an integrated drainage reservoir, receives all fluid from the collectors and solar piping loop when the solar pump is idle. SECUSOL eliminates the pump station and expansion tank to account for stagnation. A „matched-flow“ solar controller accounts for on-demand operation. The SECUSOL systems is preassembled at the Wagner factory to cut installation time to 4-6 hours. Contact us.
