A solar energy and jobs revolution has taken place right in San Francisco. Through a small, carefully designed incentive program called GoSolarSF, the city has created full-time jobs for local youth, put solar on low-income housing, built clean distributed energy that allows us to shut down dirty peaker plants, and lowered our city's greenhouse gas emissions — and as a result, inspired 20 solar companies to open offices here. But now, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission wants to slash the funding for this good work by 40 percent. More
