    Bank of America Corporation, Prologis and NRG Energy announced an offer to help the largest distributed rooftop solar generation project in the world. The offer includes a provisional assurance with respect to finance from the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office. The loan guarantee will facilitate debt of $1.4 billion of the total project size of about $2.6 billion, which will be financed completely by the private sector over the next four years. More

    American Capital Energy, Inc. (ACE) was awarded a landfill contract to construct $85 million, 18.2 MW of solar generating facilities by Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative. The project will convert town owned property and landfills in six Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard communities into solar farms which will produce approximately 25 percent of the energy needs of the participating communities.     Arizona No. 3 in US for solar installations

    Arizona ranked third in terms of solar installations during the first quarter, according to a report by the Solar Energy Industries Association. Arizona trailed California and New Jersey after a reported 22 megawatts of power production were installed on residential and commercial buildings. The report indicated no utility-scale solar was installed in Arizona during the quarter. More
