Senate Democrats, meeting for the second time in a week for talks on a planned energy bill, still haven't agreed which "clean energy" programs are justified after the BP Plc oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. There were "many, many suggestions on ways to move forward" during "robust" talks, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, told reporters in Washington, D.C., after the meeting. More

Right now the U.S. EPA is pushing forward with just such a plan, with the National Renewable Energy Laboratories helping to assess brownfields and Superfund sites for renewable energy. More
