Solar industry petitions court in defense of rebate
STL today    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Missouri's solar industry is seeking a reversal of last month's court ruling that the state's solar rebate is unconstitutional - a decision that would be a big blow to the renewable energy industry in the Show-Me state. Cole County Circuit Judge Daniel Green will hear arguments today from the Missouri Solar Energy Industry Association, the trade association for the solar industry, which has asked to intervene in the case and overturn last month's decision. Renew Missouri, the group that got the voter-approved renewable energy law on the ballot three years ago, has also sought to intervene in the case. More

Summer of solar
Domestic Fuel    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
This has definitely been a summer of solar – both in terms of oppressive heat as well as dozens upon dozens of new solar power systems going online. Recently Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) along with the Matrix Group, commissioned a three megawatt (MW) solar power project in South Brunswick, N.J., that is part of PSE&G's Solar 4 All program, aimed at helping the state reach it solar energy goals. The 12,684 crystalline solar panels cover more than 318,000 square feet of roof space and will produce enough power for 500 homes. More

Designed for fast and low cost installation due to few parts, no drilling and partially pre-assembled. Ideal for minimal roof loads requirements due to ballast free design providing a distributed weight of ≤3lbs/ft2. Product can start to collect energy sooner and longer than crystalline due to ability to produce power in low light conditions. Flat rate system pricing; includes cables and inverters.

How much do solar panels boost home sale prices?
Forbes    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Add a new steel front door to your house and you'll likely recoup the investment if you have to sell. But what about a solar power system? A group of California economists looked at that question in a recent study and found that on average, homeowners in California who install photovoltaic solar panels to power their homes can recover nearly all the investment costs if they move – and that's on top of the annual energy savings.
