Apple to Build New Manufacturing Facility in Arizona with Solar Power, Will Create More Than 2000 Jobs

The State of Arizona has announced that Apple is planning to build a new manufacturing facility in the city of Mesa, Ariz. The facility will create 700 jobs for manufacturing and an additional 1,300 jobs for the construction and management of the new facility, In total, Apple will be bringing at least 2,000 new jobs to the United States thanks to this new facility.

Terrajoule Scores $11.5 Million for Solar Energy Storage and Waste Heat Tech

New Bill Proposes US Utilities Purchase 25 Percent of Energy from Renewables

Arizona School District Starting Project to Install Solar Power at 43 Campuses
Arizona Daily Star
The Tucson Unified School District in Arizona is bringing solar energy to 43 campuses, with a goal of reducing its carbon footprint while potentially saving more than $11 million over the next 20 years. The solar panels will generate about 80 percent of the electricity required at each site.

National Milestone in Renewable Energy: 2 Years After Fukushima, Japan Opens Biggest Solar Power Plant

Steering away from nuclear power following the 2011 Fukushima disaster, Japan has opened its biggest solar plant. Japan's Kyocera Corp. built the 70-megawatt Kagoshima Nanatsujima Mega Solar Plant in the country's southwest region. The plant will produce enough electricity to power about 22,000 homes.
