Complete the Q3 SEIA/GTM Research Installer Survey
SEIA    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Now that the third quarter is over, it is time to collect installation data again. If your company was involved in any PV, solar heating and cooling, or solar pool heating installations during the third quarter (July-September) 2010, please complete the survey; it should take you less than five minutes and you could win an iPad. (One lucky installer from Oregon was selected to receive an iPad for his participation in the Q1/Q2 survey.) All responses will be confidential and results will be reported in aggregate only.

Data will be used to help SEIA and GTM Research track the development of the U.S. solar energy industry and publish quarterly reports.

You can complete the survey at http://www.gtmresearch.com/survey. If you have any questions, please contact surveys@greentechmedia.com.

Shining light on the cost of solar energy
National Geographic    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The sun packs some serious power. Even taking into account the all the energy that's lost in space, enough still reaches Earth in an hour to power the entire planet, theoretically, for a year. So why doesn't the world harness all this energy? The truth: Capturing that power, and putting it to work in the form of electricity, is relatively expensive. More
