Thwarting global gun grabbers
The Washington Times    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The United Nations is pushing gun control on a global scale, and President Barack Obama is on board. Just a few hours after re-election was assured, the president's representative cast a vote for the Arms Trade Treaty at a U.N. committee meeting. The loosely drafted agreement doesn't go after guns directly, but the language enables activist judges to get creative in restricting Americans' exercise of their Second Amendment rights. More

Wiki Weapon: Texas Co. may offer plans for printing guns at home
The New American    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
A "little piece of paper" is all that prevents the printing of firearms at home using 3D printers. That was the comment made by Cody Wilson, co-founder of a company that will soon offer customers plans for printing the plastic guns in the privacy of their own homes. Texas-based Defense Distributed has already finished three downloadable designs of plastic guns that can be printed using the new 3-D technology. The company calls the new technologically tooled guns the "Wiki Weapon." More

PrOlix® Lubricant - A Total Gun Care Product
PrOlix® is a biodegradeable, non-petroleum based solvent/lubricant for firearms. PrOlix® solvent seeks out dirt, oils, grime, etc. (even in small and impossible areas) and floats it away. The chemical action during cleaning develops the DRY lubricant and it is drawn into the pores of the material, creating a skin of protection.

Gun sales soar again after presidential election
Fort Worth Star-Telegram via The Bellingham Herald    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Michael Hill has been stockpiling guns and ammunition for almost a decade. But he's not done — not since President Barack Obama was re-elected in November. In a continuing trend that alarms gun control proponents, Hill and thousands of other Americans are buying up ammo, handguns and other firearms, citing concerns that Obama might push new regulations in his second term or that U.N. agreements might infringe on the U.S. gun market. "I have purchased more since the election," said Hill, 49, of Watauga, Texas. "I hear a lot of buzz about ... putting more restrictions in place." More

Fast and Furious fight with Holder continues
Town Hall    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
It's been just over a week since Attorney General Eric Holder officially announced he would be sticking around as the head of the Justice Department for "about a year," but his planned departure hasn't made the battle for Fast and Furious documents go away and the House Oversight Committee, headed by Chairman Darrell Issa, is still embroiled in a lawsuit over President Obama's assertion of executive privilege over subpoenaed documents. 'Anything that I could want done to a 1911 has already been done'    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The 1911, to many shooters, seems a bit antiquated. At more than 100 years old, the 1911 stands as an icon of past wars. It is a symbol. Yet people keep trying to make it new, as if changing up some of the materials or altering the lines a little bit might convince the nonbelievers that the 1911 is still relevant. More

Double-barrel 1911 lands ATF approval, importation to begin next year    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The ATF has given Arsenal the green light to import their double-barreled, double-everything 1911. Arsenal turned a lot of heads a few months back when they announced their truly unique handgun, the AF2011-A1, but many assumed that the gun would never wind up for sale in the U.S., because it fires two cartridges with one pull of the trigger, making it a machine gun according to federal law. Illinois Gov. Quinn's assault weapons ban is voted down in Senate    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
In August, Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn used his amendatory veto power to turn a moderately pro-gun piece of legislation into a ban on semi-automatic rifles, high capacity magazines and .50-caliber rifles. Initially, Senate Bill 681 was crafted to allow law-abiding Illinois residents to purchase ammunition online or via the mail from Illinois suppliers, under current law residents can only buy ammo from out-of-state dealers. The bill had a groundswell of support until Gov. Quinn got his hands on it. More
