Inside a school where teachers pack heat
Mother Jones
Ever since Adam Lanza killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, last December, school districts and state governments have searched for better ways to protect students. Lawmakers introduced hundreds of school safety bills. Many called for arming more security guards or for arming teachers. Others went the opposite direction, tightening gun laws.

Court: Florida universities can't regulate guns on campus
The Associated Press via WPTV-TV
State universities would be blocked from regulating guns on campus under a potentially far-reaching ruling handed down by a Florida appeals court. The 1st District Court of Appeal — in a rare opinion decided by the entire appeals court — sided with a University of North Florida student and a gun rights group that challenged a university rule banning students on campus from storing guns in their cars.

Despite plastic gun ban, 3-D printed firearms still have a future
NBC News
Earlier this year, Cody Wilson, the 25-year-old founder Defense Distributed, a Texas-based group that promotes the use of 3-D printed guns, fired a .380 caliber bullet from a plastic gun called the "Liberator." The shot landed at a dusty firing range in central Texas, but was apparently heard in the halls of Congress.

The 3 most important ongoing Second Amendment cases
Since the 2010 Supreme Court case McDonald v. Chicago, which applied the ruling in the 2008 Heller case (which said the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms) to states and localities, the Court has so far evaded any new case about the limits and meaning of the Second Amendment.

Gun control through shaming
The Washington Times
On Dec. 3, a brave and courageous TSA agent averted a potential tragedy when she confiscated a dangerous weapon from a woman attempting to smuggle it on board a plane. Wait, no, what that meant to say was; on Dec. 3, a TSA agent removed a two inch plastic prop pistol from the holster of a sock puppet the agent thought posed a security risk. This is symptomatic of a large problem in the United States, and that is government persecution of the American gun culture.

Missouri man the force behind
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Sitting inside a Starbucks, sipping black coffee, joking with the baristas, Dan Zimmerman doesn’t look like a gun guy. He looks like a guy who might work in accounts receivable, which is what this Olivette resident did for years. He is 53, balding, wearing tortoise shell glasses, carrying a little extra weight and dressed in the beige tones of business casual. He smiles easily. He is working on a laptop at a back table. He also might be packing heat. Could be his .38 snubby. Maybe his Kahr 9 mm. He won't say.
