Allan Sepkowitz has announced his retirement after spending nearly five decades walking the sidelines as head football coach for the El Paso Andress Eagles. In his tenure, Sepkowitz amassed 252 wins making him the winningest coach in El Paso high school football history as well as ranking him in the top 20 among Texas high school football coaches. More

Just a little over a month after bidding farewell to Claude Mathis, the DeSoto ISD school board welcomed his return as football coach at DeSoto High School. Mathis resigned to become running backs coach at the University of Houston in early January. He had a change of heart and spoke to DeSoto officials about a return, and the board passed by a 5-0 vote to accept a rescission of his resignation. More

For the fifth time this offseason, an Austin ISD high school must replace its head football coach. Austin McCallum's Todd Raymond told his players that he had accepted the head coaching position at Lehman, a Class 4A school in Kyle. He will replace Steve Davis, who resigned in January. At Lehman, the 39-year-old Raymond will inherit a team that was 6-4 in 2011. More

Wayne "Lanny" Wilson was recommended by school district Superintendent Steve Flores and unanimously approved to be hired as the new athletic coordinator and head football coach at Harlingen South by the school board. Wilson, 48, is currently the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Gonzales High School. Gonzales went 11-1 last season and completed its first undefeated regular season in 48 years.
