Hays County added to emergency quarantine for formosan termite

Researchers at Texas A&M University recently found a Formosan subterranean termite, Coptotermes formosanus infestation in Hays County. This addition will increase the list of quarantined counties to a total of 31. Note: Travis County is already under quarantine. TDA filed an emergency rule with the Texas Register on June 27 adding Hays County to the list of quarantined areas for Formosan termite, effective immediately. More
