Bill would shield property owners from gunfire liability
from The Salt Lake Tribune
The House approved legislation in Utah that would protect a property owner from civil or criminal liability if a concealed weapon holder is allowed onto the property and fires his or her weapon. Rep. Stephen Sandstrom, R-Orem, said he has heard from property owners who fear they would be sued if a concealed weapon carrier fires a gun on their property and HB380 is intended to give those property owners protection.
