AT&T nabs contract to help support California Telehealth Network
The University of California has selected AT&T for a three-year, $27 million contract to build a telecommunications system for the California Telehealth Network, the Sacramento Bee reports. The telehealth network was established in 2007 as part of a $22 million pilot project funded by the Federal Communications Commission. The project aims to improve health care access in rural and underserved areas.
