When it comes to fitness in this country, there's a bit of a paradox going on. While Americans in general continue to be sedentary, a growing number of older adults are in the best shape of their lives. To specifically address the needs of these aging athletes, the American College of Sports Medicine released their first set of physician guidelines for "active individuals over 50."
