Greenbrier County sheriff in West Virginia says PGA event will cost police agency plenty, but worth it
from The Register-Herald
Greenbrier County Sheriff James Childers estimates his West Virginia department will incur more than $20,000 in overtime costs helping control traffic and crowds and providing additional security personnel for the upcoming Greenbrier Classic golf tournament. And while that amount eventually will be reimbursed by the PGA, other expenses connected with the inaugural event at The Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs will not. Childers set his budget requests for the 2010-11 fiscal year accordingly.
