Richard Miller, who founded a string of biotechnology companies in California, has taken a new job: leading the effort to commercialize technology discoveries at the University of Texas at Austin. The 59-year-old Miller is taking on the newly created position of chief commercialization officer with the task of boosting the University of Texas at Austin's success rate at turning research lab discoveries into new companies, jobs and royalty income.
