Nightclub checks don't quite make security sense
from Arizona Daily Star
Quickie computerized checks of county court records are not the most effective way to ensure safety at a nightclub. The Star's Coley Ward reported Sunday that the Pearl Nightclub is doing online checks of people wanting to enter the club who don't comply with the establishment's dress code. The club's management is responding to an August tragedy when someone fired into a crowd in Pearl's parking lot and killed a 21-year-old man and wounded four other people.
