Governors want reform law changed so they can reduce Medicaid coverage

Republican governors are demanding changes in the health care reform law so that states would be able to cut Medicaid enrollment and balance their budgets, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Thirty-three Republican governors and governors-elect plan to send a letter to the White House and congressional leaders today requesting the change. Currently, the reform law would remove federal funding from states that drop Medicaid enrollees.
