GOP senators move to let states opt out of health care law
from USA Today
Two Republican senators are launching an effort to enable states to opt out of the nation's health care law, after a federal judge ruled the legislation unconstitutional. Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and John Barrasso, R-Wyo., say their measure would allow states to shield their residents from the federal law's requirement to buy health insurance coverage. The mandate is the heart of the law, which U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson said on Jan. 31 was unconstitutional.
