Target's Connecticut stores taking aim at grocers

Discounter Target Stores Inc. is under way with a remodel of the first batch of its Connecticut stores as part of an expanded national rollout of fresh produce, meat and other foods to its merchandise lineup. The Minneapolis retailer says it will make available by spring its fresh-food layout at seven existing stores in South Windsor, New Britain, Enfield, Waterford, North Haven, Orange and Milford.
