Veteran aircraft mechanic honored by Federal Aviation Administration

In 1939, Eugene Strine signed on as an apprentice mechanic at the Penn Harris Airport in Harrisburg, Pa. It's 72 years later, and "Pappy" Strine is still working on airplanes at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Bern Township. In recognition of his contribution to the aircraft industry, Strine was given the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award recently in ceremonies at Reading Regional Airport in Reading, Pa.
